Sesamo is an app, provided by Dutch company Mobidot, that facilitates the registration of the travel behaviour of your target group. This includes trips of individual cyclists, but also public transport and car use.
Moreover, with Sesamo qualitative data can be collected, as users can be approached via Sesamo with questionnaires. The app collects data by registration of the movements of the user. In addition, qualitative data are collected by sending users a survey. Data are collected and forwarded to the stakeholder that is interested in the information. Sesamo can be linked to a unit that rewards the cyclists for sharing the data, e.g. by giving priority at signalised intersections.
