Cycling Registration app

By using the Cycling Registration app, cities, regions and employers can register the cycling trips of their inhabitants and/or employees. The focus of the app is on the cyclists. The app is used to register the mobility pattern of travelers through their smartphone. Based on the collected information, they are stimulated to use the ‘active travel modes’ such as cycling more often. The app can also be used to provides various cycling challenges throughout the year. Participants can then be rewarded with points or small presents. The app is active for many years now. The cycling registration app can also be expanded with extra functionality, giving the cyclist faster green at traffic lights. As soon as the app notices that that the cyclist is approaching a traffic light, the app automatically sends a message to the control center that controls the traffic lights. This increases the chance that the traffic light will the cyclist green at the right time. In total, thousands of users had the app on their phone during the last years.
