As a partner of the Dutch 365 days of cycling Foundation (https://www.365dagenfietsen.nl/), Deelfiets Nederland, provider of shared bicycles, participated in the opening conference on October 13th 2022, presenting the Weerribben-Wieden Project.

The objective of the 365 days of cycling in Overijssel Foundation is stimulation of bicycle use in the province of Overijssel and putting all the beautiful cycling routes and initiatives in Overijssel in the spotlight.

The National Park Weerribben-Wieden is a beautiful cycling environment. Deelfiets Nederland (https://www.deelfietsnederland.nl/), in cooperation with the City of Steenwijk, has implemented a number of e-bike hubs where anyone can rent a shared e-bike, equipped with an air quality monitoring device. A great initiative to stimulate people to discover the environment by bicycle. The gathered data will be used by the City of Steenwijk to monitor the air quality in this area. The Weerribben-Wieden project is part of the Bicycles and ITS project and has been made possible by the Interreg North Sea Region Programme. On October 22nd, Weerribben -Wieden organised a promotion day where anyone could take a test ride for free.
